Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, a Team Member will be responsible for reviewing the General Ledger (GL) and prepare journal entries. In addition, they will perform monthly reconciliations, analyze variances, and file miscellaneous taxes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review GL accounts and prepare necessary journal entries
  2. Perform account analysis
  3. Reconcile and balance GL accounts
  4. Research and correct account discrepancies
  5. Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals
  6. Prepare summary of findings to be reviewed by senior staff
  7. Assist with year-end financial audits
  8. Prepare and file Sales/Use, Gross Receipt, and other miscellaneous taxes
  9. Bachelor's Degree with major in Accounting or Finance
  10. Minimum of 2 years experience, preferred
  11. Knowledge of Accounting Software, such as Lawson, NetSuite, PeachTree, etc.)
  12. Participates in special projects and handles all other assigned duties as required.

  1. Ability to remain calm and focused with prioritizing requests from multiple sources
  2. Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company information
  3. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
