You will serve as a MANAGER in the OCEAN SCIENCE AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS & RANGES DEPARTMENT, UNMANNED UNDERSEA SYSTEMS DIVISION of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.Qualifications:In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/13 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist managing personnel and directing the technical and administrative execution of complex research and development (R&D) programs; implementing Systems Engineering principles to drive strategic organizational or capability development; taking direct accountability for organizational deliverables and personnel actions; and communicating/briefing technical and programmatic information directly to Senior Executive Service (SES), Flag-level, or equivalent senior leadership to guide strategic decision-making.

Combination of education and experience -- course work as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Applicants who qualify on the basis of major study in biology or geology must have had at least 6 semester hours in the major directly concerned with marine science or 6 semester hours in oceanography; applicants who qualify on the basis of other physical sciences or engineering must have had differential and integral calculus and at least 6 semester hours in physics.

For 1550, Computer Science: Successful completion of a degree in computer science or degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
