Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to accurately assess clientsโ€™ mental health status and needs, ensuring an individualized therapeutic approach.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect clients' specific goals, preferences, and treatment aspirations, utilizing evidence-based solutions.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions for adult clients using a combination of solution-focused therapy and other recognized modalities to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Utilize teletherapy technologies to deliver virtual sessions seamlessly, ensuring accessibility and convenience for clients.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, demonstrating prompt support and care during critical moments in a clientโ€™s journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with adult clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our diverse client base reflects the vibrant community we serve in Suffolk, allowing you to apply your expertise across varied presenting problems and backgrounds, ultimately promoting better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach in all interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills, enabling effective management of time, client schedules, and administrative responsibilities.
  • No history of disciplinary actions on board, exemplifying a commitment to ethical practice.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience providing therapy in a mental health setting.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and familiarity with emergency support protocols.
