Corporate Real Estate CAPEX Project Manager
The Opportunity
In this role, you plan, direct, and manage corporate real estate capital projects that support Hitachi Energy enabling safe, reliable, and efficient operations within the power industry. You oversee small to large-scale, complex capital improvement and build projects, ensuring they are delivered within defined scope, schedule, and budget while meeting quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
You work closely with internal business units, architects, engineers, contractors, and external partners to align project objectives, manage financial performance, and coordinate execution activities within active operational environments. From CAPEX project setup and cost tracking to construction oversight, risk mitigation, and project closeout, you are accountable for the full project lifecycle. Your work supports operational continuity, facility reliability, and long-term infrastructure sustainability by applying consistent governance, proven project practices, and continuous improvement through shared lessons learned.
This role offers the opportunity to deepen your impact across corporate real estate functions while supporting facilities that enable the performance, safety, and growth of critical energy operations.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Plan and manage corporate real estate CAPEX projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with business units and external partners to define project goals, technical requirements, and construction strategies.
  • Set up projects in internal systems and track costs, commitments, forecasts, and variances throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee contract preparation and execution, ensuring contractual obligations and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor construction progress, site activities, and contractor performance to support on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Conduct quality reviews and site inspections, preparing internal and external reports on project status and performance.
  • Identify project risks, manage mitigation actions, and coordinate logistics to minimize impact on ongoing operations.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and building code compliance while supporting energy-efficient and sustainable practices.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, facility management, engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing capital construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Experience using project management software, web-based corporate real estate tools, and Power BI or Excel reporting.
  • Established knowledge of accounts payable processes and tools in a shared service environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
