A web project manager leads a team of designers, developers, and testers in creating a website based on client specifications. Your job duties are to ensure all work is being done properly and in a timely fashion. To be successful in this position, you need to have an understanding of web design and development, two of the most prominent aspects of this job. You also need qualifications in web design to learn the skills necessary, and a bachelor’s degree in web development, web design, or a similar field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Web Project Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Web Project Manager, you need expertise in project management methodologies, web development processes, and a background in computer science or digital media. Familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Trello, content management systems (CMS), and often a certification such as PMP or Scrum Master is valuable.
