Job Summary:
SoFi is a next-generation financial services company and national bank focused on transforming personal finance. The Engineering Manager will lead the SoFi Money team in developing and enhancing banking products, ensuring a collaborative environment while driving technical excellence and team growth.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and testing of our systems and services
• Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the web platforms
• Deliver reusable web SDKs, libraries and frameworks to scale web applications and drive consistency
• Design and maintain systems that improve developer experience across CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Define standards and best practices for performance, accessibility, and design system adoption.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and alignment of core platform capabilities.
• Tackle complex technical and organizational challenges that span teams and products.
• Mentor engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team
• Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
• Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree, in a technical field
• 5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern web stack
• Experience working on or leading a web platform team at a large company
• 1+ years management experience
• Maintain code quality, performance, and sound architectural principles
• Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
• Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
• Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or architecture
• Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically), refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests
