What are Web Developer Co-ops?

Web Developer Co-ops are temporary, paid positions for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in web development as part of their academic program. Candidates who apply should be available for multiple terms and should consult with their academic advisor on their availability and ability to participate in such a program.
Ingevity's co-ops are on-site full-time positions and participants should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8AM-5PM. Specific norms around working hours may vary based on occasional project assignments and will be communicated by your manager.

  • Fall 2025: August/September

What will you gain in the Engineering Co-op Program?

  • Experience solving complex technical challenges with a diverse team
  • Developmental and mentorship opportunities with technical and industry experts
  • Develop invaluable project leadership skills
  • Network with industry leaders throughout the organization
  • Learn about diverse and exciting career opportunities across Ingevity's lines of business
  • Housing assistance is available for eligible candidates who would be relocating more than 50 miles from their primary residence

What you need to succeed:
  • Students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree granting program with a major in Engineering with an expected graduation date from May 2027 to May 2028 (or academic sophomore or junior).
  • Students should have completed at least one semester/quarter/trimester of engineering coursework related to their major before starting as a co-op and at least one semester/quarter/trimester of study left in their academic coursework following the co-op.
  • Students available to complete at least two co-op terms with one semester of study in between (i.e. co-op in Summer, go back to school in Fall and return to co-op in Spring)
  • Remain in good academic standing in your program of study throughout the co-op experience

This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous internship(s), work experience, or academic/club leadership experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Bachelor's degree majors in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Availability to complete three co-op rotations each separated by a semester of study in between
