Job Summary:
UpSlope, Inc. is a consulting and professional services firm dedicated to delivering solutions to federal clients. They are seeking a Junior Web Developer to support the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) by developing and maintaining enterprise-level web applications that enhance Navy logistics systems.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and maintenance of enterprise web applications and websites
• Develop front-end components, fix defects, and support ongoing application updates
• Support senior and journeyman developers with coding, testing, and implementation tasks
• Write, test, and debug assigned code modules
• Participate in Agile processes, including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Assist with requirements understanding, technical research, and documentation
• Contribute to code reviews, team training sessions, and continuous learning initiatives
• Support development environment setup, configuration, and dependency management
Qualifications:
Required:
• 1–3 years of web development experience (internship, co-op, or professional)
• Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Exposure to at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue) or willingness to learn
• Basic experience using Git or version control systems (e.g., commit, push, pull requests)
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in a structured federal IT environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
• Candidates must be local to or willing to relocate to the Hampton Roads area
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Tier 2 or higher) clearance
