Job description

We are seeking a Senior .NET Programmer Analyst to contribute to the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a microservices rewrite. Operating within an Agile/Scrum environment, this contract role focuses on developing scalable backend services, constructing RESTful APIs, and optimizing data layers integrated with Azure cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate closely with solution architects, SQL developers, cloud engineers, and API teams to transition legacy structures into high-performance, modular architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development & Microservices Architecture

  • Design, build, and maintain high-availability backend services and REST APIs using .NET Core and C#.
  • Support the platform's modernization by breaking monolithic features into decoupled microservices and modular components.
  • Write clean, maintainable code following established object-oriented programming (OOP) standards and design patterns.

Data Integration & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with database engineers to implement efficient data access patterns for SQL Server running on Azure VMs.
