The Boeing Company is currently seeking GSCCE Modernization Software Engineers to support our Space Mission Systems (SMS) Ground Mission Management (GMM) team with our Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
As a member of the GSCCE team, you will be involved with updating and modernizing the global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage the Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites Payloads for all F1-F12 satellites. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to the maintenance and support of the delivered system for our customers.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain responsive applications using Java, Python, C++, React.js, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
Designs, develops, analyzes, documents, and maintains software systems that meet industry, customer and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards.
Completes software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrates and deploys mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle.
Performs code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards. Monitors and reviews test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend direction, and develop a solution to ensure optimal performance.
Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code within the existing codebase, ensuring alignment with established architecture and coding standards.
Advocating for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have a particular impact on your team and others.
Supporting junior engineering talent with mentorship or technical guidance.
Excellent communication skills, working with end-users to design and build solutions to their needs, a habit of self-directed learning of new technologies, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills:
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
2+ years of experience with Software Engineering for Experienced-level, 5+ years for Career-level
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Active Secret Clearance or Higher
2+ years of experience with web based development, leveraging ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
2+ years of experience with RESTFul APIs
Experience identifying security vulnerabilities within source code
5+ years of experience with open-source software development experience.
3+ web socket programming experiencing
3+ years with object-oriented programming (i.e., Java)
3+ years of experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments.
3+ years of experience as a well-rounded engineer comfortable wearing multiple hats, such as a web designer, UI designer, and engineer.
3+ years of experience integrating and troubleshooting front-end and back-end software components, including supporting fix regardless of component.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices, along with experience supporting Government security requirements for software delivery involving system accreditation.
Experience working in an Agile software development environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools.
