Job description

The Web Software Engineer II is a mid-level, hands-on engineering role responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining modern, customer-facing web applications using Next.js and React. This role supports our digital ecosystem, including residential and business websites, customer portals, and e-commerce experiences.
The Web Software Engineer II works closely with Product, UX/UI, QA, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This role operates independently on moderately complex features and systems, contributes to technical design discussions, and mentor's junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance, without direct people-management responsibility.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Design, develop, and maintain Next.js / React and .NET based web applications supporting high-traffic customer experiences
  • Implement new features and enhancements across websites, customer portals, and ecommerce flows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX/UI, QA, Analytics, and Marketing partners
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning along with other members of the team
  • Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, feedback, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across environments
  • Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, accessibility, and PCI-related requirements
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes
  • Support ongoing modernization, optimization, and technical debt reduction initiatives

  • 3-5 years of proven professional experience building enterprise-level software for large audiences and high-traffic environments
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and web performance optimization
  • Hands-on expertise with ReactJS, NextJS, Windows Azure, .NET, Vercel, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks while collaborating within a team
  • Experience with product/project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience with B2B/B2C, mobile applications, and ecommerce optimization (nice to have)
  • Experience in cable/broadband industry (nice to have, not required)
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems (SiteCore, AEM, etc).
