About the Role
Herring Bank is seeking an entrepreneurial, revenue-driven Business Development Officer (BDO) to help expand our Wealth Management and Trust Services platform.
This is a production-focused role designed for a high-performing professional who thrives in a growth environment. The BDO will drive new fee revenue across investment management, trust services, liquidity solutions, retirement plans, and related bank products through both self-sourced relationships and internal partnerships.
This is an opportunity to build something meaningful within a growing community bank while playing a direct role in shaping the future of our wealth platform.
What Youll Do
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on revenue growth.
Generate new client relationships across investment management, trust, and institutional solutions.
Identify and pursue opportunities with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, institutions, and specialty pools.
Build and maintain relationships with centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, consultants).
Partner with commercial and retail banking teams to strengthen referral pipelines.
Collaborate with Trust, Investment, Capital Markets, and Operations teams to structure client solutions.
Contribute to the expansion of liquidity, retirement, and enhanced cash product offerings.
Manage and grow an existing or transferable portfolio, where applicable.
Support the continued growth and scalability of the Banks wealth platform.
What Youll Bring
5+ years of experience in wealth management, trust services, investment advisory, or institutional sales.
Demonstrated success sourcing and closing new revenue-producing relationships.
Strong professional network and market presence.
Experience working across multiple financial product lines is preferred.
Securities licensing required or ability to obtain.
CFP, CTFA, or similar credentials preferred.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for performance and measurable results.
This is a remote position; however, we have a strong preference for candidates located in the DFW, Houston, or Colorado Springs markets.
