Job description

Paid Internship -- Wealth Management Avion Wealth, LLC | The Woodlands, TX Term: Fall 2026 / Winter 2026 (In-Person)

Avion Wealth is a boutique wealth management firm serving affluent families, business owners, and C-suite executives from our office in The Woodlands, Texas. We are accepting applications for a highly selective paid internship designed for students who are serious about a career in financial planning and wealth management, and who want their first professional chapter to reflect the quality of the work they intend to do for a lifetime.

This is not an observational role. Interns at Avion contribute to live client work, operational initiatives, and the firm's ongoing technology and artificial intelligence efforts. You will be expected to think critically, execute with precision, and hold yourself to the same professional standards as every credentialed member of our team.

The Experience

Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to the full lifecycle of independent wealth management, including:

  • Attending and contributing to client meetings, including planning, review, and Discovery engagements
  • Supporting the development of financial planning deliverables for high-net-worth households
  • Learning the mechanics of custodial platforms, trading operations, and account servicing
  • Assisting with the firm's AI and technology initiatives, which may include workflow design, research automation, prompt development, and evaluation of emerging tools
  • Participating in operational improvement projects across CRM, planning, and client service functions
  • Gaining exposure to business development and client relationship management
  • Optionally developing a capstone project rooted in your internship work, suitable for submission to your academic program

Tools You May Work Within

Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Box, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, Riskalyze, Process Street, and Claude, among others. Prior experience with any of these is welcomed but not required.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking juniors, seniors, and graduate students from financial planning, finance, economics, accounting, data analytics, computer science, management information systems, or adjacent programs. Candidates should demonstrate:

  • A record of academic excellence and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professional maturity appropriate to a fiduciary environment
  • Comfort with technology and a genuine interest in how AI is reshaping professional services
  • Integrity without compromise

Technical fluency in Excel, familiarity with large language models, data visualization, or financial planning software is considered a plus but is not required.

Logistics

  • Location: In-person, The Woodlands, TX. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
  • Hours: 20 to 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility around academic commitments
  • Compensation: $18 to $22 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Start and End Dates: Flexible, aligned to the candidate's academic calendar

Application Process

Applications will be accepted from June 23 through July 26, 2026, exclusively through our applicant tracking system at Discovered.ai. Selected candidates will be invited to complete a brief one-way video interview, followed by in-person interviews held throughout end of July/ August 2026. All correspondence and scheduling will be coordinated by Tara Wazir Farjo, Internship Director.
