Wealth Associate II

Canandaigua National Bank

Location: Pittsford, NY (Hybrid – 4 days/wk. in office)

What does a Wealth Associate II do?

Responsible for providing administrative support relating to CNB Wealth services to customers within the bank's market area; achieving goals developed for the position as part of the CNB Wealth’s operating plan; ensuring compliance with various operating policies and procedures and various regulatory requirements; communicating and interfacing with other divisions and management personnel; responding to inquiries or requests for information; maintaining appropriate records and providing assigned reports; communicating with clients.

Provides administrative support relating to CNB Wealth Management services as follows:

  • Completes new account set-up and account transfer documents, reviews accounts for accuracy, prepares requests for account distributions and deposits, sets up scheduled distributions and schedules receipts, documents cost basis and acquisition dates for assets of new accounts.
  • Researches and responds to inquiries from customers and outside money managers.
  • Monitors and assists with asset purchase and sale requests – trade settlement
  • Assists in new account and annual account review process.
  • Utilizes multiple bank software programs, for CNB Wealth client management, for transaction purposes, as well as research and reporting purposes.
  • Serves as liaison between CNB Wealth Officers, Wealth Operations department, and other lines of business in coordinating documentation of accounts.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from customers, outside money managers, and CNB Wealth officers in a timely manner.
  • Supports the achievement of customer service goals as established in the CNB Wealth’s operating plan.
  • Assists in the organization of the work and activities of the Wealth Management division to achieve established goals and maximize efficiency.
  • Communicates with supervisor and other department officers and appropriate staff personnel to integrate goals and activities.
  • Provides periodic reports to supervisor and other groups as required throughout the organization.
  • Complies with operating policies and procedures established for the CNB Wealth division.
  • Able to complete all the tasks of a Wealth Associate I confidently and with little oversight.
  • May serve as backup for CNC Shareholder Relations Specialist by providing administrative and customer service support as required.
  • May be a relationship manager on custody accounts.
  • Participates on CNC committees as appropriate.
  • Special projects and participation on CNC committees as appropriate.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

What is needed to be successful in this role?

  • A B.S. or B.S. degree in a field related to banking or equivalent normally required. A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • Specialized wealth management education and training.
  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience in related positions.
  • Experience in banking/financial services preferred.

Compensation: $23.25 – $27.75. The actual rate offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
