What You'll Do

You'll lead multidisciplinary wayfinding and environmental graphics projects, manage client relationships, mentor and support design staff, and coordinate with colleagues across urban design, landscape architecture, and transportation engineering. You'll help people navigate trails, bicycle networks, transit systems, parks, and walkable districts through wayfinding strategies, signage programs, mapping, branding, and placemaking initiatives. You'll contribute to projects across the region and beyond, helping communities create connected, memorable, and user-centered public spaces.

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years leading wayfinding projects with expertise in design intent drawings, fabrication methods, code compliance, and human-centered design
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and successful built work
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; experience with CADTools, SignAgent, GIS, and/or SketchUp is a plus
  • Excellent visual, written, presentation, and client-facing communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, develop work plans and proposals, and guide projects from concept through implementation
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and a track record of building strong relationships with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • A passion for sustainability and creating livable communities through multimodal transportation, wayfinding, and placemaking
  • Experience working with public clients, including community engagement, implementation phasing, and guidelines development, is preferred

We are targeting a salary range of $78,000 to $88,000 for this position. Candidates with 10+ years of experience may be considered for compensation at the higher end of the salary range.
