Assistant Waterpark Director
We are inviting you to apply for our open Assistant Waterpark Director position. In this role, you'll be responsible for daily park operations, assisting the Waterpark Director in scheduling, training, staffing, adhering to state aquatic code and regulations, and assisting with the overall safety of guests/staff and guest satisfaction.
Lead with heart, accountability, and purpose by fostering a culture where team members feel supported, developed, and empowered to deliver a safe and exceptional guest experience every day.
This is an exempt full-time position with flexible hours and days, based on business needs. This position regularly requires evening and weekend work.
Salary Range: $75,000 per year
What We're Looking For
  • We do require that you have a background, consisting of a minimum of 5 years' experience in an operational floor supervisory role preferred, with a leadership position in a large water park or recreational facility.
  • Previous lifeguard experience required, along with extensive knowledge of leisure activities, commercial recreation, and/or large waterparks in a "for-profit" setting.
  • Significant experience with guest services and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with scheduling and managing labor budgets.
  • Experience with Hiring & Retention initiatives.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resource law and function.

Physical Demands
  • You must have the ability to pass Kalahari's lifeguard certification.
  • Must be able to frequently move throughout the waterpark.
  • Must be able to walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually elevated.

Preferred Requirements
  • Ability to gain Certified Pool Operator Certification upon hire, if not already held.
  • P&L Statement knowledge.
