Waterpark Maintenance Manager
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Maintenance Manager. In this role, you will oversee the water park maintenance operations, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives for ride maintenance, ride checks, repairs, guest service satisfaction, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll ensure the waterpark operates safely and efficiently, creating an environment where guests can focus on fun and associates have the tools and support they need to succeed. By helping lead preventative maintenance and operational excellence, you will be essential to the success of the resort's signature attraction.
This role requires weekend and holiday availability.
Salary Range - $65k - $80k
Key Responsibilities
  • Help manage and execute routine preventive maintenance schedules for all waterpark equipment, rides, filtration systems, pumps, and water features to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist the Waterpark Maintenance Director in leading, training, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols, and ensuring efficient work processes.
  • Help develop and manage maintenance budgets and ensure proper inventory of parts and supplies, making cost-effective decisions.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and equipment failures, coordinating repairs to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, seamless experience for guests and associates.
  • Partner with Waterpark Operations, Facilities, and Safety teams to coordinate maintenance activities, support daily operations, and ensure attractions remain guest-ready.

What We're Looking For
  • At least 2+ years of experience in a water attractions environment.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience leading/managing teams.
  • Experience managing a preventative maintenance program.
  • Knowledge of common ride maintenance repairs.
  • Knowledge of daily operations for a waterpark, rides, and attractions.
  • Certified pool operator (CPO) certification is a must.
  • Knowledge of air conditioning/heating systems, plumbing, and total facility maintenance.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of leisure activities/commercial recreation in a "for profit" setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a labor budget and read basic financial documents.

Work Environment
  • Ability to work in a hot/humid environment with changes in temperature.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually elevated.
