U.S. Water Services Corporation is a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility organization specializing in utility maintenance, operations, engineering and construction services. Headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida, U.S. Water is rapidly expanding with a staff of over 700 employees in 19 states. U.S. Water's Industrial Group specializes in providing wastewater facility operations & maintenance services for clients in the industrial and private sector.

Job SummaryWe currently have an opportunity for an experienced wastewater Maintenance Supervisor. U.S. Water's Industrial Group operates treatment plants for its customers throughout the US. Each customer site is operated by an offsite project manager who works with a dedicated onsite Lead Operator and site operations team. This team is responsible for monitoring processes, adjusting controls, performing laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, replenishing chemicals, and maintaining good housekeeping. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating activities, working with project manager and project controls to manage financial performance and ensuring top quality performance on the project. Primary Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates proficiency in estimating, record keeping and the preparations of reports.
  • Prepares schedules and project execution plans for the project team.
  • Reviews work plans, schedules, costs, and technical performance of projects. Works with Project Manager to direct resources to meet contractual obligations.
  • Addresses and manages technical or administrative problems that arise during the project and to ensure program objectives are met and compliance is maintained.
  • Oversees field operations personnel and subcontractors, site safety, compliance with federal, state and local regulations, staffing levels and project schedules.
  • Good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial and environmental facilities.
  • Good knowledge of the practices used, the equipment required, and safety practices in general and environmental wastewater system operations.
  • Assigns tasks to field staff and coordinates with professional and administrative staff to oversee and execute O&M projects.
  • Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma and 8+ years of relevant experience, or associate degree in applied science and 5+ relevant years of experience
  • Applicable health & safety training
  • Ability to read plans / drawings / specifications and interpret data
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and familiarity of project scheduling and job costing
