Job Description

AZZ has an exciting 2nd shift opportunity for a Wastewater Treatment Operator at our Milwaukee facility.

Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Enhances the conditions of the water and alleviating pollution as well as other factors that affect the state of the environment; and aids in implementing sustainability efforts.
  • Tests water for environmental hazards, such as chemical or biological hazards.
  • Researches and examines sources of pollution and hazards; calculates findings, analyzes data, creates and proposes ways to eliminate pollution and hazards.
  • Maintains all required environmental records and documentation.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records and documentation of test/inspection activities.
  • Ensures adherence to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Trains employees in the organization's operating procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Wastewater Operator certification required
  • 2 – 4 years of experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must have and maintain valid driver license
  • Having the ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results
  • Having good record-keeping skills, being comfortable with computers and computer-controlled equipment, and capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical or computer skills
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Education

  • High School diploma / Vocational training or equivalent is required
