Job description

Camping World is seeking a talented Warranty Manager who will be primarily responsible for supervising the Warranty and Parts Departments, initiating and processing requests for warranty repair services and providing administrative support to the Service Department as well as keeping Manufacturers apprised of work progress.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise employees and monitor processes

  • Responsible for new unit check in process/procedure

  • Duplicate receipt documents and create unit Service files

  • Co-operate with Advisor to create initial unit work order and pre-authorize all warranty work on new units

  • Determine repair requests to be covered under Manufacturer and/or Vendor warranty guidelines

  • Provide known approval time and/or flat rates for repair to all relevant dealer Personnel as prime priority

  • Provide direct advice on valid work order quality content to substantiate claims prior to work order finalization

  • Provide and keep on-line photo library for warranty unit claims

  • Manage all paper flow, in order to claim warranty repairs for payment, within 7 days

  • Manage and pursue all claims to be paid as well as applying payment to paid claims including credit memos

  • Appeal all denied claims as appropriate and clear irrevocably denied balances to keep AR book up to date

  • Ensure all relevant Personnel are familiar with warranty procedures/processes

  • Assist Advisors in checking sold units for outstanding recalls as appropriate

  • Provide price estimates for Manufacturer prior to work commencement if needed

  • Back up Service Advisors when/if needed

What You’ll Need to Have for the Role:

  • A minimum of two years of Service Advisor or Technician experience is preferred

  • Excellent record keeping and documenting skills required

  • Proficient in IDS or other Dealership Management software preferred

  • Strong communication skills both verbally as well as written are essential.

  • Ability to work daily on a computer and perform internet searches as needed

  • Ability to build and maintain an in-depth tree file for warranty pictures

  • Excellent organization and follow up skills are required

  • The ability to follow Department procedures and policies

  • Strong clerical skills a must

  • A good understanding of accounts, invoices, debits and credits is required

  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices

  • Periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending

General Compensation Disclosure

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the total annual compensation range (base pay + variable compensation earned) is $45,000 - $80,000 or more. This is a variable pay role with uncapped variable pay.
