Position Purpose:

Warehouse Operations & Leadership

  • Lead and manage all warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, inventory control, and shipping
  • Uphold the highest safety standards in alignment with the P&H Safety Action Plan
  • Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse team members; provide performance feedback and training
  • Ensure products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time using established systems and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely when required

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Monitor purchase orders, transfers, and receiving activity to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Work with the Branch Manager to research inventory variances and manage RTVs
  • Use barcode scanning systems and warehouse technology to maintain data accuracy

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflows, and space utilization
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and error reduction
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies to warehouse operations
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices
  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new processes and tools

Customer & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with branch leadership to support customer service goals and branch profitability
  • Interact with customers as needed to ensure satisfaction and resolve operational issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to support smooth branch operations

Requirements:

Experience, Education & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or operations leadership
  • Demonstrated experience improving operational processes, workflows, or efficiency
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training or certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Experience with inventory management systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and warehouse technology
  • Results-driven with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers for warehouse and computer work
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Moderate physical activity in a warehouse environment
