Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Department: Shipping

Shift: 1st Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Summary

Coordinates and expedites flow of materials by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Develop and maintain a great working relationship with transportation vendors including on/off site meetings, phone, and email.
• Develop and maintain a great working relationship with Customer Service and outside customers. Includes occasional customer visits.
• Maintain outbound transportation schedules by reviewing daily shipment demand and reviewing/communicating with transportation vendors daily to ensure customer expectation is met.
• Track deliveries as necessary to ensure product arrives as planned.
• Willingness to become an expert in Mannington shipping and freight billing processes. This willingness includes providing leadership, training and/or assisting other associates in any department to provide the best customer experience.
• Update and provide tracking information to Customer Service and other necessary parties.
• Develop outbound specs to help actively train Customer Service to provide the best customer experience.
• Create internal shipment documentation for internal warehouse transfers of product.
• Coordinate orders with multiple warehouse storage locations.
• Process freight invoices and resolve freight discrepancies when they arise.
• Provide leadership in the Distribution safety process.
• Investigation of internal/external claims for all warehousing operations.
• Filing claims with carriers for lost or damaged shipments and maintaining record for all claims filed.
• Limited travel required

Education and/or Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Products. Advanced knowledge of Excel a must, ability to create Pivot Tables, V Look-up Tables, and Formulas.
