OVERVIEW: 
The Vice President -Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for providing effective and quality service to prospective and current business banking clients, generating new deposit and treasury service relationships through prospecting and business development activities, actively promoting the sale of all First Business products through cross-selling, and taking an active role in the community through service and professional associations.     
 
Essential responsibilities for this role include: 
  • Responsible for developing new client relationships and gathering in-market deposits; self-sourcing is a key objective in addition to collaborating with Commercial Bankers.
  • Actively call on prospective businesses to develop new commercial deposit and loan relationships while meeting client, prospect, and COI call goals as established each month.
  • Maintain existing client relationships; perform deposit account reviews and cross-sell other bank products and make internal referrals.  
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills to work closely with the commercial lending team, as well as other First Business entities, to cross-sell bank solutions to existing, and prospective clients.
  • Be available to partner with and assist other Treasury Management Officers and Specialists with client contact to meet all compliance and regulatory requirements on a continual basis.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Treasury Management Department and First Business Bank
    • Stay current on existing industry technology and trends.
    • Keep abreast of the competition in terms of rates and services/products to provide the bank with current market data.
    • Review and understand regulatory changes and compliance regarding deposits and operations to ensure bank compliance.
    • Be knowledgeable about treasury products and deposit products, compliance and regulations and be able to check accuracy of deposit documents and ensure the client understands and completes documents accurately.
    • Share new product market solutions to provide focus for new technology enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Post-Secondary degree in relevant field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of Treasury Management or Commercial Banking/Lending experience with demonstrated success in a sales and business development role in banking/deposits/treasury management, sourcing new clients through individual calling and networking.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets. 
  • Strong organizational skills, good-judgement and decision making, and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Be an active member of the community by attending networking events and developing relationships with centers of influence.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation preferred, but not required; Support is also given to complete this designation as part of the role.
