Position Summary
The Treasury Assistant supports the day-to-day treasury and banking operations of ALKEME by ensuring accurate processing, tracking, and administration of banking activities, payments, and related financial documentation. This role serves as a key operational support function within the Finance organization and partners closely with internal departments, agency stakeholders, and banking institutions to maintain efficient treasury processes and strong financial controls.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Treasury amp; Banking Operations
  • Assist with daily treasury operations, including monitoring banking activity, and processing routine treasury requests
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to bank accounts, payments, transaction activity, and treasury processes
  • Prepare, review, and track ACH transactions, wire transfers, positive pay activity, and related payment requests
  • Assist with bank account openings, closures, maintenance requests, and signer updates across multiple entities and banking partners
  • Coordinate completion and submission of banking forms and documentation in accordance with institutional and compliance requirements
  • Maintain organized treasury records, banking files, and supporting documentation for audit and operational purposes
  • Monitor treasury inboxes and assist in routing requests to appropriate stakeholders
2. Operational Support
  • Maintain and update standardized templates, spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting tools with a high degree of accuracy
  • Support treasury-related projects, including banking transitions, acquisitions, integrations, and process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate shipment, setup, and tracking of desktop check scanners and related banking equipment
  • Assist with closing legacy bank accounts and consolidating banking relationships during acquisition integrations
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, HR, and agency leadership teams to ensure timely resolution of treasury-related matters
  • Help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, standardization, and internal controls
3. Compliance amp; Controls
  • Ensure treasury activities are performed in alignment with company policies, banking requirements, and internal control standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial and banking information
  • Support audit requests and documentation gathering related to treasury and banking operations
Qualifications:
Education amp; Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 0–2 years of administrative, banking, treasury, accounting, or finance operations experience preferred
  • Experience working with banking platforms, payment processing, or treasury-related functions is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external banking partners
  • Comfortable working in a manual environment with reliance on spreadsheets, templates, and operational tracking tools
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities
  • Experience working in an administrative or financial support role
  • Familiarity with ACH, wire processing, positive pay, and banking documentation workflows
  • Experience with spreadsheets and maintaining organized records
  • Exposure to ERP systems or financial software is a plus
  • Willingness to learn treasury operations and banking processes
