Job description

HTV is seeking a strategic, innovative and technology-forward Vice President, Revenue to drive revenue growth across Hearst Television's multiplatform portfolio, including broadcast television, streaming video, OTT/CTV, digital video, programmatic, social and branded content. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this executive will have shared responsibilities in oversight of revenue initiatives, key client relationships, and multiplatform advertising strategies while helping to drive the company's AI-powered sales transformation initiatives.

This executive will play a key role in contributing to the continuous evolution of HTV's go-to-market strategy, revenue operations and multiplatform advertising capabilities across linear, digital and emerging platforms. They will assist in shaping the future of Hearst Television's revenue organization through AI-enabled sales transformation, audience-based advertising solutions, and multiplatform growth strategies. This position will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Research, Content, Product and Ad Operations teams to accelerate revenue growth, deliver data-driven advertising solutions, and maximize client outcomes through advanced audience strategies, automation and AI-enabled sales technologies.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across broadcast, digital, and streaming advertising; a proven track record of success leading high-performing revenue organizations; with the ability to drive innovation, transformation and strategic partnerships in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

This role requires in-office presence, and is located at the Hearst Tower in New York City.

Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy & Business Growth

  • Drive revenue growth across broadcast, streaming, OTT/CTV, digital, social and branded content platforms. 

  • Develop integrated sales strategies aligned with audience trends, business objectives and market opportunities. 

  • Partner with station leadership and corporate stakeholders to align revenue initiatives with local market opportunities, organizational priorities and company objectives.

  • Lead the continued evolution of HTV's sales strategy, revenue operations and go-to-market capabilities across its multiplatform business. 

  • Identify new revenue streams, strategic partnerships and emerging advertising opportunities. 

  • Collaborate on forecasting, budgeting, pricing and revenue planning initiatives. 

AI-Driven Sales Leadership

  • Champion the adoption of AI-powered sales tools, predictive analytics, automation and audience intelligence platforms to enhance revenue performance and client outcomes.  

  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled CRM, workflow and targeting technologies to improve sales performance, operational efficiency and client outcomes. 

  • Partner with Product, Data and Technology teams to advance HTV's AI-driven sales transformation initiatives. 

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization. 

Sales Team & Client Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop high-performing sales leaders and revenue teams across broadcast, digital and emerging platforms, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. 

  • Build strong relationships with advertisers, agencies and strategic partners. 

  • Lead executive-level client presentations, strategic negotiations and integrated advertising partnerships.  

  • Promote consultative, data-driven selling focused on measurable client outcomes and long-term partnerships. 

Multiplatform Operations

  • Partner across Digital, Marketing, Research and Ad Operations teams to deliver integrated advertising solutions across linear and digital platforms. 

  • Advance audience-based selling strategies leveraging first-party data, AI-driven insights and advanced measurement solutions. 

  • Drive consistent growth of streaming, OTT/CTV and advanced advertising solutions. 

  • Deliver revenue performance, operational excellence and sales effectiveness while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of media revenue and sales leadership experience across broadcast, digital and multiplatform environments. 

  • Proven track record driving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales organizations. 

  • Deep understanding of linear television, OTT/CTV, streaming, programmatic and digital advertising ecosystems. 

  • Experience with political advertising sales, including revenue planning, inventory management and regulatory considerations within broadcast television environments.

  • Experience implementing AI-powered sales tools, automation platforms and advanced analytics solutions. 

  • Strong strategic planning, forecasting, communication and executive leadership skills. 

  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation and relationship-building abilities. 

  • Demonstrated ability leading organizational change and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading integrated linear and digital sales organizations within television or major media companies. 

  • Familiarity with Nielsen, Comscore, audience measurement platforms and attribution technologies. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, media research systems and sales analytics platforms. 

  • Experience with AI-driven audience targeting, predictive modeling and automated advertising solutions. 

  • Strong relationships with agencies, advertisers and technology partners. 

  • Military experience will be considered. 

Compensation

The salary for this role is $250,000-$350,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
