Labcorp is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Finance to serve as the senior financial leader and trusted business partner to our North Central Division (>$1 billion in annual revenue) in the Diagnostics segment.
Reporting to the Diagnostics CFO, this role sits at the center of a complex, fast-paced healthcare business and plays a critical role in driving financial performance, enabling profitable growth, and shaping the division's strategic direction. The Vice President of Finance will partner closely with divisional leadership across operations and commercial teams, providing actionable insights and influencing decisions that impact revenue, margin, and capital deployment.
This is a high-impact leadership role with direct visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to drive meaningful business outcomes in a highly regulated and evolving healthcare environment.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday standard business hours with flexibility required as needed.
Travel as needed to support business priorities.
Work Location
This position offers a remote work opportunity to well qualified candidates who reside in the North Central geographic region, which includes Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
  • Serve as the finance leader and key member of the division's leadership team
  • Partner with operations and commercial leaders to shape and execute business strategy
  • Impact decision-making across pricing, cost structure, footprint, resource allocation, and growth investments
  • Provide financial leadership for key initiatives, commercial strategies, and market expansion

Performance & Value Creation
  • Own and drive full P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and cost optimization
  • Identify and execute initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Deliver insights into customer, product, and channel profitability to inform strategic trade-offs
  • Ensure strong alignment between financial results and operational performance metrics

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and long-range financial strategy
  • Provide forward-looking insights through scenario planning and analytics
  • Improve forecast accuracy and transparency across business drivers
  • Modernize FP&A capabilities through automation, scalable data solutions, and advanced analytics

M&A and Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities, including valuation and synergy modeling
  • Support deal execution and lead financial integration efforts
  • Track post-acquisition performance and ensure value realization

Capital Allocation & Governance
  • Evaluate and prioritize capital investments, ensuring strong ROI discipline
  • Strengthen financial governance, reporting, and performance transparency
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements, including SOX controls and internal audits

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Build organizational capability in analytics, business partnership, and financial leadership
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration

Technology & AI Expectations
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data, analytics, and automation to improve financial outcomes
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled finance tools
  • Ability to translate advanced analytics and AI capabilities into practical business impact

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
  • 15 years or more of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably supporting large, complex businesses
  • 10 or more years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning.
  • 10 or more years of experience managing full P&L performance, including revenue growth, operating margin improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • 5 or more years of experience operating within regulated industries, including healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or other regulated sectors.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) with 5 or more years of senior finance leadership experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification.

Additional Job Standards
  • Proven track record of driving financial and operational performance improvement.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, P&L management, and business partnering.
  • Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, regulated industries preferred.
