Job Description
At NorthBay Health, the Vice President of Ambulatory Operations, (VPAO) is responsible for overseeing the strategy, operations and financial performance of ambulatory services across NorthBay Health. This role ensures the effective delivery of high- quality, accessible care across multiple ambulatory sites including, primary care, specialty care, urgent care clinics and ambulatory service lines. This position will focus on operational efficiency, expanding access, and optimizing the patient experience while fostering collaboration with physicians, staff, operational leaders and system executives.
Reporting to the Executive Vice President, President Medical Networks, the VP plays a pivotal role in executing the ambulatory care strategy. The VP will work closely with the EVP, ambulatory physician leaders, other operational leaders and system executives to assess and identify growth opportunities, and execute initiatives that drive operational excellence. Additionally, the VP will provide data - drive insights and recommendations to support executive decision- making, helping to support long -term planning and resource allocation.
As a key member of the ambulatory leadership team, the VP will serve as a bridge between frontline operations and executive leadership, ensuring that strategies enhance quality, access, patient experience, provider and staff engagement and financial stability.
Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field required.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory operations, experience in physician practice management as an executive or in a senior level position.

Compensation: $290k to $310k annually based on years of experience doing the duties of this role.

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1-5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
Remote Work Disclosure
NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
