This individual is responsible for supporting operations efforts for multiple communities in multiple states. You will be responsible for property the management of all physical plant and the maintenance work through Regional Directors of Asset Management as well of the Residence & Maintenance Directors at each property. You may also be responsible for providing training, education, and strategic coaching with and for these positions. This position is based in Wichita, KS and does require someone to live local or relocate accordingly.
Responsibilities--Vice President of Asset Management
Some of the responsibilities of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide management of multiple contractors/vendors for remodel work.
  • Evaluate and assist with any and all development and repair projects as needed
  • Provide leadership to Maintenance Directors to include training and support of new MDs
  • Work with executive leadership to develop and execute initiatives to meet company goals and standards and all state and national regulatory requirements
  • Assist with capital expenditure decision making with Regional Directors and home office leadership team through management & execution of the approved CapX budget
  • Review safety and security measures to make sure all communities are operating under best practices
  • Perform site visits to provide training, guidance, and hands on application as needed on executing Legend programs and policies
  • Ensure compliance with all local, federal, and company standards and guidelines as applicable
  • Review and determine best practices with regard to external partnerships, contracts, and budgets of maintenance projects and resources
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair reviews at residences in coordination with MDs
  • Assist with selection/hiring of candidates for Regional Asset Director & Building Maintenance Director positions.

Requirements--Vice President of Asset Management
  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in a leadership position
  • Previous experience with multiple contractor/vendor remodel work.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance/facilities role overseeing multiple locations in senior living, hospitality, multi-family, or similar environment
  • Knowledge of facility management fields (i.e. plumbing, HVAC, electrical, building, etc.)
  • Previous experience in the Senior Living or Healthcare industry is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to anticipate needs, follow-through and ownership on assignments
  • Ability to travel, occasionally extensively, including expended periods of driving and overnight stays
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, High School diploma or GED required
