Job description

About the Company

Cash has disappeared from most of our lives—but millions of vending machines, laundry rooms, car washes, amusement devices, and other self-service machines still rely on decades-old payment technology. That's a $45+ billion global market ready for transformation.

PayRange is leading that transformation.

Founded in 2015, PayRange has grown into one of the fastest-growing technology companies in North America. We've built the industry's leading fintech and mobile commerce platform, connecting millions of machines and processing more than a billion transactions through a seamless ecosystem of payments, software, hardware, and consumer experiences. Our technology powers businesses across North America, Europe, and Asia, and our rapid growth has earned us consistent year over year recognition as one of Deloitte's fastest-growing technology companies in North America.

Why This Role Is Different

Most VP of Marketing roles ask you to grow either a B2B business or a consumer brand. This role gives you the opportunity to build both.

PayRange operates a unique two-sided network. On one side, you'll accelerate growth with operators, enterprise customers, and strategic partners. On the other, you'll lead the strategy that grows one of the largest consumer commerce apps in unattended retail—driving adoption, engagement, loyalty, and brand affinity among millions of users.

As our next VP of Marketing, you'll own the entire growth engine across both sides of our business, creating a powerful flywheel where consumer adoption drives operator value, and operator growth expands the consumer network.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a profitable, high-growth fintech company with proven product-market fit, category leadership, and significant runway ahead. If you've ever wanted to help build the next iconic commerce platform while leaving your mark on both a B2B SaaS business and a consumer brand, this is your chance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As VP of Marketing, you'll drive growth across a unique two-sided network—acquiring and expanding operator customers while simultaneously building a consumer brand used by millions of people every day. You'll shape how we attract, engage, and retain businesses, while leading the strategy that grows adoption, loyalty, and awareness of our mobile app among consumers. There’s no playbook in this role, you’ll write it. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our brand, build our growth engine, and directly influence the future of the company.

This is a role for a growth-minded marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of SaaS, fintech, marketplace, and consumer technology. You'll own the complete marketing strategy across both sides of our ecosystem, creating a flywheel where consumer adoption drives operator value, and operator growth fuels the consumer experience. You’ll own the entire marketing engine, from strategy and positioning to pipeline generation and customer expansion. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to turn market opportunities into measurable business results.

As VP of Marketing, you will build and lead the development of a go-to-market motion and revenue engine and category-defining brand.Reporting to the CEO, this role owns the intersection of pipeline, brand, and narrative.

If you're excited by building category-defining brands, scaling revenue, and leading marketing across both B2B and B2C, this is a chance to make an outsized impact. If you’re a builder who loves moving fast and creating marketing programs that directly impact revenue, this role is for you.

The Type of Person We're Looking For

We're looking for a builder and out-side-of the box thinker. Someone who thrives in high-growth environments, embraces ambiguity, and gets energized by creating what's next rather than maintaining what's already exists. You're equally comfortable setting long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to launch campaigns, analyze performance, and solve problems alongside your team.

This role isn't about following a proven formula; it's about creating one. You'll have the freedom to challenge conventional thinking, experiment boldly and build a world-class marketing organization that becomes the benchmark for others to follow.

You lead with conviction, move with urgency, and have a relentless focus on delivering measurable business outcomes. You're naturally curious, customer-obsessed, and energized by solving complex challenges. You’re energized by opportunities where there is no playbook, where you can scale a high-growth B2B SaaS business, solidify a strong brand voice in the market, and build a consumer brand from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:
  • Create & Defend our Category-Leading Brand Narrative
  • Define our market positioning, messaging, and story to differentiate us in a competitive landscape.
  • Build thought leadership and content strategies that educate the market and create demand.
  • Create memorable customer experiences across every touchpoint.
  • Position PayRange and its leadership team as category experts and thought leaders
Drive Revenue Growth through Marketing
  • Own the full-funnel marketing strategy across paid media, organic growth, lifecycle marketing, content, webinars, PR, events, and partner channels to accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Define and operationalize next-generation go-to-market strategies that optimize customer acquisition, expansion, and market adoption across multiple business segments.
  • Develop and execute integrated go-to-market campaigns that create demand, nurture prospects, and drive conversion from awareness through closed revenue.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to define ideal customer profiles (ICP), optimize funnel performance, improve attribution, and maximize marketing ROI.
  • Lead marketing investment strategy with disciplined budget management—scaling high-performing programs while continuously optimizing spend and eliminating inefficiencies.
  • Identify and execute growth opportunities across acquisition, expansion, upsell, and cross-sell motions to increase customer lifetime value.
  • Lead strategy and creative development of a sales enablement library
  • Establish a data-driven approach to decision-making, testing, and optimization.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that clearly connect marketing investments to business outcomes.
Drive Partner & Channel Marketing
  • Create scalable co-marketing programs that generate demand, accelerate partner-sourced pipeline, and increase market reach.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, and Product teams to launch joint solutions, strategic initiatives, and go-to-market programs that drive mutual growth.
  • Develop partner communications, events, training, and certification programs that increase engagement, loyalty, and long-term partner success.
  • Measure and optimize partner marketing performance through pipeline contribution, partner activation, campaign ROI, and revenue growth.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities and marketing channels that expand distribution, strengthen our competitive position, and accelerate customer acquisition
Expand Customer Growth
  • Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to drive adoption, retention, upsell, and expansion.
  • Develop customer marketing programs that turn users into advocates.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through market insights and customer data
Build and Scale the PayRange Consumer Business
  • Own the vision and growth strategy for the PayRange consumer business, evolving the app from a transactional payment tool into a trusted consumer brand.
  • Define the roadmap for consumer acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization, aligning marketing, product, and business priorities to drive growth.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Consumer Marketing to build and scale a world-class consumer growth engine across brand, lifecycle, loyalty, and engagement.
  • Champion a consumer-first mindset across the company by leveraging customer insights and data to influence product strategy and business decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Business Development leaders to expand the value of the PayRange ecosystem and create a growth flywheel between consumers and operators.
Build a World-Class Product Marketing Function
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for new products, features, and platform innovations, partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive successful launches.
  • Define market positioning and messaging that clearly communicates customer value, differentiates PayRange from competitors, and establishes category leadership.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into compelling customer stories through sales enablement, competitive intelligence, battle cards, pitch decks, demos, and marketing content.
  • Partner with Product leadership to influence roadmap priorities, pricing, packaging, and market strategy using customer insights, competitive research, and market data.
  • Develop a best-in-class product marketing organization that equips Sales and partners with the tools, training, and messaging needed to win in the marketplace.
  • Own customer lifecycle messaging—from acquisition and onboarding through adoption, expansion, and advocacy to ensure a consistent and engaging customer experience across every touchpoint.
Build a High-Performance Marketing Organization
  • Establish the marketing operating system, including clear goals, metrics, operating rhythms, and accountability frameworks that align the team with company growth objectives.
  • Create disciplined planning processes across annual and quarterly initiatives, translating business priorities into focused campaigns, measurable outcomes, and clear execution plans.
  • Build and lead a world-class marketing team by attracting top talent, developing capabilities, and creating a culture of ownership, innovation, and high performance.
  • Implement data-driven reporting and executive communication that clearly connects marketing investments to pipeline, revenue, customer growth, and business impact.
  • Develop scalable processes, tools, and technology infrastructure that enable the team to move faster, make smarter decisions, and continuously improve performance.
  • Lead agency and partner relationships with clear objectives, performance expectations, and ROI accountability.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and operational excellence that allows marketing to scale as the company grows.
What You Should Have
  • 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in SaaS, fintech, technology, or platform businesses, with a track record of scaling teams and driving growth.
  • Proven success owning marketing strategy and delivering measurable business outcomes across pipeline, revenue, customer acquisition, and expansion.
  • Experience leading both B2B and B2C marketing motions, ideally within a two-sided network, marketplace, or ecosystem business.
  • Executive presence who can stand on stage and comfortably command the room
  • Strong background building demand generation engines, go-to-market strategies, and growth programs that accelerate revenue.
  • Deep product marketing expertise, including positioning, messaging, launches, pricing, and competitive strategy.
  • Experience building consumer brands and driving user acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams, scalable processes, and a modern marketing operating system.
  • Experience leveraging data, analytics, automation, AI, and marketing technology to drive smarter decisions and better outcomes.
  • Strong channel and partner marketing experience that creates scalable distribution and growth opportunities.
  • A balance of strategic vision and hands‑on execution—you define the strategy, build the plan, and make it happen.
  • A builder’s mindset. You thrive without a playbook and are energized by creating something new.
  • A strong executive presence—you can command a room, influence stakeholders, and communicate a vision that motivates customers, partners, and teams
  • A growth leader who views marketing as a revenue engine and is accountable for business impact, not just marketing metrics.

We offer great compensation packages, and comprehensive health benefits, & believe in a strong cohesive team atmosphere.
