Position title: Vice President, Growth & Strategy – Facilities

Location: Bronx, NY


Reports to: Executive Leadership

Job Summary: The Vice President, Growth & Strategy – Facilities is an executive leadership role responsible for driving facility expansion, service line growth, and strategic initiatives across Essen Healthcare’s facility-based operations. This role partners closely with executive leadership, clinical leaders, operations, and recruitment to identify growth opportunities, optimize existing facilities, and ensure scalable, sustainable expansion aligned with organizational goals.

The Vice President will lead market analysis, growth planning, and execution for new and existing facilities, supporting Essen’s mission to deliver high-quality, accessible care across New York and expanding markets.


Growth & Expansion Strategy

  • Develop and execute facility growth strategies, including new site development, service line expansion, and capacity optimization.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities through data-driven analysis (market demand, payer mix, utilization, and demographics).
  • Partner with executive leadership to build short- and long-term growth roadmaps aligned with budget and strategic priorities.

Facility & Operational Partnerships

  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Finance to support facility readiness for expansion and scaling.
  • Ensure growth initiatives are operationally feasible, compliant, and financially sound.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between facility leadership and corporate teams.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning Alignment

  • Partner with Recruitment and HR leadership to align provider and staff hiring plans with facility growth timelines.
  • Support workforce forecasting, headcount planning, and expansion readiness for new and existing facilities.
  • Assist in developing recruitment strategies for high-demand roles tied to facility growth.

Performance & Analytics

  • Track and analyze KPIs related to facility growth, utilization, productivity, and expansion outcomes.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Use data insights to recommend course corrections and optimization strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives involving operations, clinical services, finance, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Drive alignment, accountability, and execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Champion continuous improvement, process optimization, and scalable growth models.

Compliance & Risk Awareness

  • Ensure growth initiatives adhere to regulatory, licensure, and payer requirements.
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal teams as needed during expansion efforts.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, growth strategy, facility expansion, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience driving growth initiatives in facility-based or multi-site healthcare organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar).
  • Experience within outpatient, ambulatory, behavioral health, or value-based care environments.
  • Familiarity with workforce planning, provider recruitment alignment, and healthcare financial models.
  • Experience supporting expansion across multiple states or regions.
