Position Summary:  

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Vice President - Operations holds broad operational responsibility for Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company’s (AATC) Customer Experience, Landside Operations, Airside Operations, Airport Lost & Found, and Baggage Handling System functions at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Vice President - Operations improves operational efficiency and performance through analytics, processes, and tools; makes sound business decisions based on relevant data and statistics; and develops strong relationships with business partners and executive peers.

The Vice President - Operations works continuously to ensure AATC delivers operational excellence and readiness to passengers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, identifying innovative cleanliness, operations maintenance, and other management solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations through close collaboration with vendors and external business partners.

Responsibilities:

·  Lead and manage highly productive Operations team of Managers and frontline leaders and staff through strong communication, empowerment and coaching techniques.

·  Executive point of contact for operations incident management, escalation procedures, coordination with airlines and other agencies, and communication with AATC team.

·  Plan, organize and coordinate AATC’s resources in the day-to-day operation of the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC), providing safe, secure and efficient use of the facility by passengers and employees. 

·  Develop short and long-term operational strategies in partnership with senior team members and provide the leadership necessary for the successful design, development, and execution of a strategy to achieve measurable outcomes in a timely, cost-effective manner.

·  Provide guidance in the use of resources to optimize the dependability, cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the Airport facilities and grounds.

·  Ensure that passenger interactions at all touch points are professional and address customer concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.

·  Use a data driven approach to monitor vendor performance.

·  Support negotiations and administer/monitor applicable operations contracts and agreements.

·  Represent AATC as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings

·  Ensure that Company operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

·  Develop, monitor, approve and implement policies and procedures appropriate to the operation of the Company.

·  Develop and manage the Operations budget with the ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.

·  Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the AATC Members, airlines, Department of Aviation, City of Atlanta and all other key stakeholders to ensure open communication.
