THE OPPORTUNITY

The VP, Data & Finance Technology Strategy position will serve as the operational leader for the Data & Finance Technology organization. This role will report to the SVP, Chief Data Officer, and be responsible for establishing and leading the organization’s operating model, translating strategic priorities into execution, and providing executive visibility into portfolio health, organizational performance, resource capacity, and technology investments. As the operational partner to the SVP, Chief Data Officer, the role enables the organization to execute consistently by aligning strategy, governance, planning, delivery, financial management, and operational excellence, partnering closely with technology leaders to ensure work is prioritized, resourced, measurable, and aligned to enterprise objectives. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Strategy & Business Operations
  • Partner with the SVP to develop and execute the strategic vision for Data & Finance Technology.
  • Lead annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning processes.
  • Develop organizational objectives, key risk and performance indicators (KRIs/KPIs), and performance measures.
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives across Data and Finance Technology.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the SVP on organizational priorities and operational effectiveness.
Portfolio & Demand Management
  • Own the governance framework for all technology initiatives across Data & Finance Technology.
  • Establish and lead the enterprise demand intake and prioritization process.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to evaluate investment opportunities and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain executive visibility into portfolio health, delivery status, dependencies, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure work aligns with strategic objectives and organizational capacity.
Delivery Governance & Agile Operating Model
  • Establish and continuously improve the Agile operating model across the organization.
  • Govern portfolio execution through standardized planning, reporting, and performance management.
  • Define Jira governance standards, workflows, reporting, and portfolio visibility.
  • Partner with engineering and delivery leaders to improve predictability, transparency, and execution.
  • Establish delivery KPIs including throughput, velocity, predictability, lead time, cycle time, and overall portfolio health.
  • Sponsor continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery effectiveness and organizational maturity.
Business Operations
  • Lead the organization’s operating cadence, including leadership meetings, planning sessions, executive reviews, and governance forums.
  • Develop executive dashboards and scorecards that measure organizational performance.
  • Oversee resource planning, workforce planning, and organizational capacity management.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, vendor planning, and financial performance.
  • Monitor consulting engagements, strategic vendors, contracts, and technology investments.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvement, governance, and standardization.
Executive Communications & Governance
  • Prepare executive presentations, board materials, steering committee updates, and leadership communications.
  • Ensure executive decisions are documented, communicated, and tracked to completion.
  • Coordinate cross-functional governance across Technology, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Business partners.
  • Provide executive visibility into organizational risks, issues, decisions, and opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Build trusted partnerships across Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Business leaders.
  • Resolve cross-functional dependencies and organizational roadblocks.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, continuous improvement, and execution excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology strategy, business operations, portfolio management, PMO, or enterprise delivery.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional technology portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise portfolio management.
  • Experience governing Jira, Confluence, or similar enterprise work management platforms.
  • Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen, financial management, and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial services or banking experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Data, Analytics, Digital, or Finance Technology organizations.
  • Experience leading organizational transformation or technology modernization initiatives.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Lean, Scrum, or equivalent certifications.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

SALARY RANGE

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
