Job description

Have you ever said, "Someday I want to run a company?"

Most finance and accounting leadership roles lead to... another finance role.

This one leads to President.

A respected, employee-owned manufacturing company in the Quad Cities area is seeking a Vice President who will work directly alongside the current President as part of a planned succession strategy.

This is a rare opportunity to:

✅ Learn every aspect of running a $10M business

✅ Lead finance, operations, strategic planning, HR, banking, and customer relationships

✅ Gain Board exposure

✅ Help shape the future direction of the company

✅ Work closely with a long-tenured President during the transition

✅ Ultimately step into the President role

They're not looking for someone who wants to stay behind a spreadsheet.

They're looking for a business leader who:

• Understands finance and accounting

• Enjoys solving problems

• Builds relationships naturally

• Can lead people through change

• Wants ownership-level responsibility

The company is employee-owned (ESOP), has approximately 50 employees, and has a strong history of promoting leaders who earn trust and respect throughout the organization.

This isn't a Controller role with a bigger title.

It's an opportunity to learn how to lead an entire business and eventually take the top seat.

Quad Cities Area

• Demonstrated executive leadership experience within manufacturing or a related business environment.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting with the ability to translate numbers into business strategy.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple functional areas, including operations, planning, and people leadership.
• Effective problem-solving skills with sound judgment in complex business situations.
• Strong relationship-building abilities with employees, customers, financial partners, and leadership teams.
• Experience leading teams through change while maintaining engagement and trust.
• Interest in taking on ownership-level responsibility and progressing into a top executive leadership role.
