Marine Mechanic Diesel Specialist
Location: Stuart, FL

We need an experienced Marine Mechanic right away to service high end vessels from 45 to 100 feet with a primary focus on Volvo Penta engines IPS pod drives and Fischer Panda generators. This is a hands on waterfront role for someone who excels at diesel diagnostics repairs and performance tuning in the premium boating world.
Core Responsibilities
  • Diagnose troubleshoot repair and maintain Volvo Penta propulsion systems IPS pods and Fischer Panda generators on upscale yachts.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance services component overhauls and system optimizations using precision tools for maximum reliability efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with custom installations upgrades and modifications ensuring all work meets strict marine industry standards and project deadlines.
  • Perform detailed inspections and testing to deliver vessels back to owners in peak operating condition.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of professional marine diesel mechanic experience with strong emphasis on Volvo Penta systems.
  • Current or prior Volvo Penta certification required proven track record working on propulsion IPS drives and generators.
  • Experience with Cummins engines is a plus along with willingness to master yacht specific applications.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Reside within about 1 hour commute of Stuart FL.
  • Pass criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Physically capable of demanding dockside onboard and engine room work.
