These roles often involve assisting healthcare professionals, supporting patients, or performing administrative tasks in medical settings. Familiarity with basic medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and electronic health record systems is often beneficial. Excellent communication, empathy, and teamwork are crucial soft skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
