Department: Clinical Operations

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday (Day Shift)

No weekends or holidays.

Location: Hudson, WI with required travel to Menomonie, WI

Job Summary:

Tareen Dermatology is looking for exceptional Pre-Med and Pre-PA students who are taking 1-2 gap years prior to medical school/PA school to work as a medical assistant. The Medical Assistant will work in a very fast-paced and hands-on environment while performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. All training will be provided on site. Additionally, students are given mentorship and guidance in their professional school application process. Our medical school and PA acceptance rate is well over 90%. As students move forward in their higher education, they find that they far surpass even the most qualified of their peers.

  • Salary & Benefits: $20.00 per hour, full benefits, plus free and/or discounted cosmetic treatments.
  • Commitment: Minimum 14 months.
  • Start Date: July 6, 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room.
  • Accompanies provider into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam, and documents accurately the provider's encounter with the patient.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Acts as liaison between doctors and support staff; mediating issues and problems as necessary.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Monitors, cleans and maintains and stocks exam rooms.
  • Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed at the direction of the provider.
  • Ensures that all clinical data, lab or other test results and the interpretation of the results by the provider are recorded accurately in the medical record.
  • Generates and submits orders as directed by the provider.
  • Calling and reviewing their pathology reports with patients.
  • Answers and returns telephone calls in a timely manner.
  • Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies.
  • Travels to alternate satellite clinics as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow.
  • Professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science-based program required.
  • Previous medical field experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.
