About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to help design, build, and improve the AlayaCare platform from idea to production. In this role, you will work closely with Product and Design to create polished, accessible user experiences and scalable front-end patterns that support consistency across teams.

You'll be part of a cross-functional development team focused on delivering secure, reliable, and fast software. You'll also contribute to our technical roadmap, support continuous delivery, and help drive high-quality engineering practices across the team.

What You'll Do
  • Co-design polished front-end experiences with Product Design, creating intuitive UIs and thoughtful micro-interactions with strong visual quality and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to our design system by creating scalable, reusable front-end patterns that improve consistency and speed across teams.
  • Design, code, test, and debug complex software as a full-time member of a cross-functional development team.
  • Participate in code reviews, sharing and receiving feedback while helping improve reuse, extensibility, maintainability, and scalability across the codebase.
  • Monitor applications in production, proactively identifying, diagnosing, and fixing issues with a strong focus on reliability and customer impact.
  • Contribute to the product-wide technical roadmap and support cross-team technical initiatives, including responsible adoption of new technologies aligned with industry trends.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to clarify requirements and maintain a shared understanding of scope and outcomes.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end automated tests to validate quality, prevent regressions, and support continuous delivery.
What You Bring to the Team
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrated learning experience
  • Professional experience with at least one of PHP, Python, or modern JavaScript, including ES6+ and associated frameworks.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker or similar containerization tools.
  • Experience working with design systems (e.g shared component libraries, or design tokens) is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to improve efficiency and code quality.
  • Awareness of contemporary trends in front-end performance, software development tooling, and engineering practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
