Job description

Volunteer Role: Careit Data Entry Coordinator

Time Commitment: A few hours per month, on a flexible schedule

Overview:

Nutrition INSIDE is seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to manage our monthly data entry in Careit, our food recovery tracking platform. This is a low-commitment, high-impact role ideal for someone who wants to support our mission without a large weekly time commitment.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter monthly food donation and distribution data into Careit, including pounds recovered, pickup details, and partner information
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness before submission
  • Flag any discrepancies or missing information to the Nutrition INSIDE team
  • Maintain organized records to support grant reporting and impact tracking

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable with basic data entry and spreadsheet or web-based platforms
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and able to complete the task within an agreed-upon monthly window
  • No prior experience with Careit required; training will be provided

Why This Role Matters:

Accurate data tracking allows Nutrition INSIDE to measure our impact, report to funders, and demonstrate the value of food recovery work across Oregon's correctional facilities. This small monthly commitment directly supports our ability to secure continued funding and partnerships.
