The Digital Marketing & Web Analysis team is looking for an experienced Digital Content Writer to edit, update, and write technical and marketing content for multiple programs within the U-Haul ecosystem.
This position will work alongside Digital Marketing Specialists, analysts and strategists to develop and implement marketing materials that resonate with U-Haul customers. This is an excellent opportunity within a dynamic department for someone who is driven to solve problems and explore opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
  • Create and distribute marketing copy to advertise for uhaul.com and other owned websites
  • Analyze, edit and update digital content
  • Assist in writing new copy for the email marketing efforts, including automated and seasonal campaigns
  • Pitch and develop digital strategy for U-Haul programs
  • Present on new ideas
  • Keyword research for new content opportunities
  • Reporting on success metrics

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven work experience as a content creator, copywriter or similar role
  • Paid advertising experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and persuasive writing skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
  • Basic understanding of marketing funnels and the different phases of the customer journey
  • Must be able to multi-task and take initiative with projects
  • Passion for marketing and storytelling
  • Ability to take complicated marketing concepts and communicate them effectively to people from all levels of the organization
  • You approach problems from a creative perspective searching for ways to better the experience for our customers.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, English or comparable relevant experience
  • Must be able to show examples of past work including but not limited to optimized web content, owned websites, email content, pitch decks, marketing proposals
  • Experience in Marketing and/or Content Writing for the Web
  • SEO knowledge preferred but not required
  • Basic HTML knowledge is preferred but not required
  • Microsoft office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to write in Spanish and/or French is plus but not required
