Job Description

AECOM Tishman is seeking aProposal Specialist/Marketing Content Writer to be based in New York, NY. 

This position is expected to begin immediately.  

The Proposal Specialist/Marketing Content Writer: 

  • Foremost, writes and edits content for client proposals.  
  • Creates outlines and content plans for proposals, and provides recommendations to project teams on section structure and relevant content. May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, project description sections, executive summaries, and/or project approaches for proposals. 
  • Leads and facilitates structured reviews of proposals by the project team. Manages the implementation of proposal revisions based on direction from review teams. 
  • Supports client presentation preparation in conjunction with the project team, including developing slide decks, prepping the team, and attending pitches as needed. 
  • Performs a variety of copyediting and other writing-related tasks for marketing materials as needed. 
  • Collaborates with other marketing department teammates to handle a dynamic workload.  
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple partners and stakeholders, including executives.  
  • Completes internal debriefs for proposals, drawing on past pursuit debrief information. Supports team during win/loss debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure continuous improvement. 
  • Takes initiative to keep marketing collateral up to date as time allows. 
  • Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval. 
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, or other Liberal Arts, or similar discipline and/or demonstrated equivalency 
  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the AEC industry 
  • Experience in the successful creation of RFQ/RFP responses and supportive presentation materials 
  • Experience creating content with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud, and working with CRMs such as Salesforce 
  • Video editing capabilities

  • Hybrid in-office/remote (3 days office/2 days remote a week)
