The Class A Driver will perform manual lifting and driving responsibilities. This individual will work as part of the team in providing delivery of our products to our customers and picking up products from our suppliers. As a member of our team, we are seeking a dependable and organized CDL-A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina.


We ask that all our CDL A drivers perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. This position is full-time working first shift, Monday through Friday.


Principle Responsibilities:

  • Drives a commercial vehicle safely.
  • May occasionally have to make a customer delivery or pickup.
  • Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
  • Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
  • Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
  • Comply with DOT regulations.
  • Make safety a priority at all times

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate with supervisor, current and prospective customers on a professional level and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
  • Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to process information/merchandise.
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Must have a Class A unexpired driver's license.
  • Must have a current unexpired DOT medical certificate
  • Previous day cab driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units.
  • Must pass criminal background check, driving record, drug & alcohol screen and any other information as required by state and federal regulations and by the Company.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend and stoop; and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to fill orders.
  • Ability to handle product generally weighing 0 - 165 pounds.
