Job description

We are a digital media company powered by bold personalities, passionate voices, and strong opinions. Our mission is to create standout content from the biggest names in their respective fields.
The Volume is seeking a Media Planner to support our growing Brand Partnerships team. This role will focus on building strategic, client-facing media plans across The Volume's portfolio of podcasts, digital content, talent partnerships, and live events.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about sports media, podcasts, creator-led content, and the evolving digital advertising landscape. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, creatively minded, and eager to grow within a fast-paced media environment.
This is a remote position with the option of working from our NYC office.
What You'll Do:
  • Build strategic media plans and sponsorship proposals across The Volume portfolio, including podcasts, digital/social content, talent integrations, and live events
  • Partner closely with Sales and Brand Partnerships teams to develop customized client solutions
  • Assist in the creation of pitch decks, planning documents, and client-facing materials
  • Analyze client objectives, category trends, and marketplace insights to inform recommendations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with integrated marketing, production, social, talent, and operations teams to ensure campaign alignment and execution feasibility
  • Help manage planning timelines, deliverables, inventory tracking, and internal coordination
  • Support revenue growth through thoughtful packaging of The Volume's content and talent assets
  • Stay current on trends across podcasts, sports media, creator/influencer marketing, and branded content
Who You Are:
  • 1-3 years of experience in media planning, digital media, podcasting, branded content, creator/influencer marketing, or related fields
  • Strong interest in sports, podcasts, digital media, and creator-led content
  • Strategic thinker with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
  • Self-starter mentality with eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-moving company
  • Experience working with podcasts, talent-led media brands, or creator/influencer campaigns
  • Familiarity with digital advertising, branded content partnerships, and sponsorship planning a plus
  • Understanding of media metrics, audience insights, and campaign packaging

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD. Compensation subject to experience and location. Published salary bands pursuant to transparency laws, and do not include possible variable compensation such as annual merit increases or bonus eligibility.
