Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Specialist, Terminal Volume Accounting with volume accounting experience in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our team!

 Role Summary:

The Specialist, Terminal Volume Accounting role is responsible for assist in the Company’s efforts to accurately track all products received, stored and delivered at Buckeye terminals in order to accurately administer the terminal settlement process.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

  • Ticketing Support. Providing ticketing support to customers and functional groups, tracking quality issues to ensure appropriate ticketing for downgrades and developing tools and processes to improve volume accounting activity timeliness and accuracy.
  • Data Integrity. Tracking all Buckeye terminal inventories to ensure good data integrity for volume account closing for settlement billing and assisting in creating tools to automate the review process.
  • Gain and Loss Trends. Monitoring, evaluating, and investigating settlement gain and loss trends by product to identify issues and areas for improvement. 
  • Reporting. Completing reports and analysis for EIA reporting.
  • Over and Short Trends. Monitoring over and short history for terminals and identify potential measurement system issues and assisting M&QC in troubleshooting and determine required ticket corrections and impact on over and short.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in volume accounting preferred.
  • Additional or concurrent experience in terminal operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of TopTech TMS preferred
