Youth Sports Scorekeeper for Fall 2026 Season

St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is looking for dependable, enthusiastic individuals to join our Athletics team as Youth Sports Scorekeepers. If you enjoy baseball, softball, basketball, or volleyball and thrive in a fast-paced game-day environment, this is a great opportunity to earn extra income while supporting youth athletics in our community.

As a Youth Sports Scorekeeper, you'll operate the scoreboard and game clock, maintain the official scorebook, and help ensure games run smoothly. You'll work alongside coaches, officials, and Athletics staff to create a fun, safe, and positive experience for players and families.

What You'll Do:

  • Keep the official scorebook, scoreboard, and game clock
  • Record game information accurately and efficiently
  • Make game announcements when needed
  • Support a positive and sportsmanlike atmosphere
  • Assist with maintaining a safe game environment

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Basic knowledge of baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, or other youth sports
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)

Schedule:

  • Seasonal, part-time hours
  • Evenings and weekends based on game schedules

Pay:

  • $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, dependent on experience
