Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. \r\n**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations** \r\n

Nature of Work

\r\nThe\r\nfundamental reason this position exists is to manage the operation of multiple\r\nfacilities such as the Multiplex, Cramton Bowl, Lagoon Park, Fain Park, Paterson\r\nField, and other facilities. The employee must be knowledgeable of a wide array\r\nof sports rules and tournament regulations. The Multiplex houses various\r\nsports, recreation, and leisure activities. Duties include planning and\r\nscheduling events, facilities maintenance, and tournament management. The work\r\nresponsibilities of this position include: overseeing the maintenance of\r\nballfields, buildings, and grounds through inspection, work coordination, and\r\nmaintenance and repair duties; planning, organizing and administering sports\r\nprograms and tournaments (high school basketball and volleyball, college\r\nbaseball, basketball, softball and volleyball); supervising full and part time\r\npersonnel; preparing and maintaining records; and planning and arranging for\r\nevents and productions requiring the use of facilities and space. The employee reports directly to the Facility Manager II.\r\n\r\n

Minimum Qualifications

\r\n\r\nBachelor's\r\ndegree in Recreation, Business\r\nAdministration, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the management of a football or baseball stadium, or a closely related sports facility to include six (6) months of supervisory experience.\r\nNOTE: Qualifying\r\neducation, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills\r\nand abilities to perform the job will be considered.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Special Requirements

Must be willing to work varying\r\nand/or extended hours and holidays and work outdoors while being exposed to\r\ninclement weather conditions such as heat, rain, and cold.\r\n
