As a vocational coordinator, you work with and represent students with special needs. Your duties in this career are to observe how individuals with developmental disabilities learn, implement programs designed to adapt to diverse learners, and oversee progress and work with families to find resources specific to their situation. Your responsibilities include understanding local academic standards, finding ways to teach those methods so all your students make progress, creating assessments of personal growth, and acting as a spokesperson to the community and other agencies involved with your students. Vocational coordinators use basic classroom management strategies and adjust to make the learning environment unique for each individual.
