Job Title: AirWatch / Workspace ONE Observability Engineer
Location : Plano, TexasJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced AirWatch / VMware Workspace ONE Observability Engineer responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving the visibility, performance, and reliability of enterprise mobility environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with VMware Workspace ONE UEM (formerly AirWatch), endpoint management platforms, monitoring tools, automation, and troubleshooting enterprise device ecosystems.

The role involves designing and supporting observability solutions, analyzing system health metrics, managing alerts, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring operational excellence across mobile and endpoint infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor VMware Workspace ONE UEM (AirWatch) environments, including device health, application performance, compliance status, and operational metrics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and monitoring solutions for endpoint and mobility platforms.
  • Perform proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of device enrollment, compliance, application deployment, profiles, policies, and connectivity issues.
  • Analyze logs, events, and performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
  • Configure and optimize observability tools to improve system visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for Workspace ONE-related issues.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Monitor endpoint performance, availability, and service health using enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Create operational reports, health checks, and performance metrics for mobility services.
  • Automate repetitive monitoring and administrative tasks using scripting and APIs.
  • Support integrations between Workspace ONE and enterprise systems such as directory services, authentication platforms, application delivery systems, and security tools.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, configurations, operational processes, and knowledge articles.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and endpoint management standards.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with VMware Workspace ONE UEM / AirWatch administration and support.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint monitoring, observability, and performance management.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, AppDynamics, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of device management concepts including:
    • Device enrollment
    • Profiles and policies
    • Compliance management
    • Application deployment
    • Software distribution
    • Device lifecycle management
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows, iOS, Android, and enterprise mobility issues.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations with enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Understanding of authentication technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, SAML, and certificates.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security concepts and mobile device security best practices.
  • Experience with log analysis, alert management, and incident troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
  • VMware Workspace ONE certifications or relevant VMware certifications.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise mobility environments.
  • Experience with cloud-based monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise support methodologies.

Qualifications
