Location: San Antonio, TX
Position Summary
The Systems Information Engineer serves as the senior M365 Systems Engineer responsible for enterprise administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and governance support for the client's Microsoft 365 environment. This role provides technical leadership, engineering expertise, and operational oversight in alignment with requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Microsoft 365 enterprise administration across Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Intune.
  • Configure permissions, retention, compliance, auditing, and governance controls.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell.
  • Support AvePoint Online Services configuration and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot complex M365 and platform issues across the environment.
  • Provide technical guidance to security staff, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain technical procedures, operational documentation, and reporting.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; OR 3 additional years of directly related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of general T engineering experience.
  • Industry-recognized commercial certifications relevant to the role (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, CompTIA Security+, ISC2, or equivalent).
  • Experience designing and implementing information systems, conducting data modeling, internal controls analysis, and performance measurement.

Desired Skills
  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft 365 cloud services in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • PowerShell scripting expertise.
