Regional System Engineer


ย - On behalf on our client in the Inspection and Certification industry, Procom Services is looking for one Regional System Engineer. The Regional Solution Engineer (RSE) will work in a multi-disciplined, diversified and technically challenging environment. The candidate should have 3-5 years' experience working with a variety of infrastructure technologies, including server, virtualization, and network services. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required. The RSE will report to the AMER Solution & Delivery Manager.


Regional Systems Engineer Job Details


The role of the RSE is to design, build and deliver solutions that enhance business services, leveraging Intertek's existing service catalog. This challenging position involves maintaining standards and policies used within the company's infrastructure technology space. The RSE will engage and interact with business leaders, vendors, engineers, and operation support teams to deploy infrastructure site solutions, implement standards, and impart knowledge for the purpose of support hand off. In addition, the RSE will act as s Subject Matter Expert on systems configuration and integration, capacity planning, performance analysis and optimization. Additional responsibilities will include the following skill sets:Solution and monitor wide area network file and print servers for capacity, utilization and performance



Design and build of network, storage devices, virtualization hypervisors, physical servers.

Design, plan and remotely deploy infrastructure solutions based on established standards for site locations in the Americas Region.

OS experience with Windows

VMware 5.1 and higher experience preferred.ย 

Understanding of the ITIL framework.

Strong networking skills required.

Create and maintain documentation, including diagrams, low-level designs and run books.

Review and influence new and evolving design, architecture, standards, and methods IT solutions.

Implement defined infrastructure standards including but not limited to:

Network: Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless technologies

Structured Cabling

Server: VM, DHCP, ILO, Storage and file shares

VOIP systems

Work with multiple vendors from different disciplines to assist in Solution Delivery
