Job description


We are looking for a Temporary IT Support Specialist to provide technical support for a short-term project. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly resolve IT-related issues while collaborating with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop and technical support to end users in an enterprise Windows environment.
  • Create, modify, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Deploy, image, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers using endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues, including laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
  • Install, configure, and support Microsoft 365 applications and standard business software.
  • Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents in accordance with established service levels and support procedures.
  • Document support activities, technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately within the organization's ticketing system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating technical information clearly and professionally to users of varying technical skill levels.
  • Assist with workstation setups, equipment moves, hardware refreshes, and technology deployments across multiple office locations.
  • Support project-related IT initiatives, including device rollouts, system upgrades, migrations, and other assigned technology implementations.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure equipment is properly configured, tracked, and deployed.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project objectives and operational support needs.
  • Lift, transport, and install computing equipment as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on desktop support experience in an enterprise Windows environment.
  • Experience administering and supporting user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Proficiency with endpoint deployment, imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting using enterprise device management solutions such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, or Windows Autopilot.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and other end-user devices from major OEM manufacturers.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience maintaining accurate records and updates within an IT ticketing system.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to lift, transport, and set up computing equipment across multiple buildings, departments, and office locations as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple support requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals certification.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and cloud-based environments.
