Job Description
The hard lines field coordinator position is part of the store planning team. They are responsible for working with the hardlines members of the purchasing team to ensure excellent merchandising directives for the store operations team. The hardlines departments consist of farm, pets, automotive, and hardware.
This individual will work with the store planning team to establish and execute the store planning directives. These directives will be a collaborative task between purchasing, marketing operations and store planning to provide the most efficient and effective directions that are to result in the brand shopping experience for our customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Store Operations
  • Valid driver's License and safe driving record.

Some combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
Travel to store and office time will split depending on the company activity. On average, the office time to field time will be 60-70% travel time. There will be some required overnight stays. Some extended overnight travel will be required for store sets and resets.
Key Responsibilities
  • To teach, coordinate and in some cases execute Visual Merchandising Basic Guidelines. This would also include the maintenance and evolution of these guidelines.
  • To plan and coordinate the features at all store locations; both seasonal and every day. Every day features would include end caps, pallet drops, dump bins, wing panels, clip strips and other impulse items. Seasonal features would include events such and L&G centers, chick day sets, winter snow removal sets etc...
  • To plan and coordinate seasonal transitions at all store locations. This would be the directing the sets based on seasonal block plans that have been created.
  • New Store Sets & Resets- This individual would assist the SP Project Coordinator as necessary during major resets.
  • Store Blueprint Database Information & Maintenance. This individual would maintain the field information and work with the store planning office coordinator to maintain correct store blueprints.
  • Fixture Inventory at each location as needed.
  • Planogram Implementation & Updates
  • Pricing & Signage Compliance
  • Sales Analysis of each store within their region; as well as company analysis for comparison
  • Market Database & Trends for each of their store communities. Who is our competition? What is happening in the area? What do our customers want in that area?

Physical Demands
Frequent physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, dexterity, and light grasping. Occasional physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs., bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs and firmly grasping. The employee is required to accept incoming calls and must be able to hear and speak. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer and other basic office equipment.
Work Environment and Working Conditions
This position will be performed inside a climate-controlled office facility. The noise level is low to medium and typical of an office environment. Potential hazards include electrical hazards. Atmospheric conditions are typical of an office environment and may include exposure to odors and dust.
